Climate Protesters Shut Down Berlin Airport
The following is the video of Climate activists entering the Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) on the 24th of November. Both the northern and southern runways of the airport were closed for nearly two hours as protesters from the Last Generation environmental group entered the site. They livestreamed their protest on Twitter, showing some gluing themselves to the ground and others cycling around. The Twitter video shows them cutting through a fence and holding banners.
All flights were suspended. There had been a closure of both runways at the airport. Some of the activists were stuck to the asphalt, and others rode bicycles over the shunting area, causing air traffic to be halted as a result.
