Emirates has launched a codeshare partnership with Indonesian carrier Batik Air

As a scheduled airline, Batik Air was founded in 2012 and made its maiden flight from Jakarta to Manado and Yogyakarta on 3 May 2013. With over 350 flights a day, Batik Air operates over 45 domestic and international routes as of September 2022.

Recently, Emirates activated a codeshare agreement with Batik Air with the goal of expanding the number of options and connectivity options available to its customers. This allows them to access 25 Indonesian points on the same ticket and only one bag policy.

Under the newly activated agreement, Emirates has placed its code on 8 routes operated by Batik Air via Jakarta to - Balikpapan (BPN), Denpasar (DPS), Medan (KNO), Manado (MDC), Padang (PDG), Surakarta (SOC), Surabaya (SUB) and Makassar (UPG). In addition, via an interline agreement, Emirates customers can also easily access  17 more domestic Indonesian points via Jakarta and Denpasar, to cities such as Praya (LOP), Semarang (SRG), Sorong (SOQ), and more.

A codeshare agreement between Emirates and Indonesia's national carrier, Garuda, was signed earlier this year, enabling Emirates' customers to access eight domestic points beyond Jakarta and Bali.

In addition to its codeshare cooperation agreements with 26 airline partners and two rail companies worldwide, Emirates has 110 interline partners worldwide. With over 130 destinations on six continents, the airline truly offers global connectivity to its customers.
